Betty was living her best life at the Balmoral Show today, mingling with the crowds and befriending a few glamorous heifers. She gave it her all in the Mascot Race, but was outrageously beat by a donkey on a mission and a highly motivated spud! Although she was delighted to take home her first Blue Rosette for 2nd best Costume!

Day 2! Of Cookstown Continental market last weekend. And it was even sunnier, warmer and more full of joy! …Although I think it was so warm my bubbles wouldn’t work. 🫧 Thanks again to @maywe_events for keeping this flower watered.

On Saturday, Play Make-Believe’s Art Detectives took over the exhibit at the MAC, inviting families to play, question, and explore together. Through interactive storytelling and hands-on discovery, children weren’t just looking at art—they were thinking, imagining, and creating in ways that support their development. In September we spent a few weeks in Carrickfergus meeting with @positivecarrick , the museum and with local families finding out what THEY would like to see happening in their local area. So this is what we did! We built a sensory area using old and recycled materials, brought in an incredible old map and the kids built Lego, there was balloon modelling, a pirate invasion, a MOSTLY true history tour, a mermaid, more balloons, singing, games, kids of all ages and lots of great craic! If you’d like us to create a fun day for your area give us a shout. @play_make_believe

At Play Make-Believe we knew we needed help ahead of the silly season too, so instead of a team of thousands of elves we went one better and hired….An Arts Entrepreneur!!! Introducing our client liaison, artist coordinator and bringer of calm - Brona Jackson! Brona checks all the lists…more than twice and books the acts for the clients - nice! And all this is in her spare time! When she’s not playing PA to Mrs Clause she runs her own dance company called ‘Brona Jackson Dance’, alongside the administration of her family business, and her own projects. She herself is a talented dancer and performer specialising in TYA and we are so lucky to have her!

Hi all, Louise here, here’s a wee update as we have been a little quiet on here compared to usual. There’s still plenty going on behind the scenes! We are steadily gearing up towards the busy seasons coming our way! 👻🎃🤶🎅🌲🎄 For the past few months, I’ve been mostly focused on repairing a pair of dodgy ankles and was back doing a lot more theatre work. In August I played the role of Dodo O’Donnell in An Grianan Theatre’s ‘Jimmys Winning Matches’, a one woman show by Kieran Kelly. This month I’m back up in Donegal again Stage Managing the first half of the rehearsal period for his new show ‘Drumboe’ based on historical events in The Balor Theatre in my hometown of Ballybofey. She is fun and bubbly and loves life, the lives of those around her, and the things that surround that too…which is the environment….and she loves looking after the environment!! Born in lockdown she began life on screen storytelling to kids in their homes. Since then she has recorded two online series for early years audiences, several large stage shows; school storytelling sessions; countless birthday parties; fundays; fundraisers; adventure trails and much more!
